My values and ethics are contained in the covenant below, which also forms part of my intake form for spiritual direction.
A covenant is a document outlining mutual promises we make as we undertake this sacred work.
For my part,
I promise to hold in confidence what you have shared with me. I am a mandated reporter, however, and I may be required to share what I know with law enforcement or the courts in order to keep you and others safe. Part of keeping you safe may include creating a plan for you, or contacting your emergency contact if I sense that you or others may be in danger
I take written notes of our sessions.
I am bound by the ethics of the UUMA (Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association), (SDI) (Spiritual Directors International), and UUSDN (UU Spiritual Directors Network).
I will start and end our sessions on time. If circumstances require cancellation, I will let you know as soon as possible. In order to maintain continuity, booking the next session as part of our current session is preferred.
In return…
If you are a member of a congregation or faith community, please let your spiritual leader know you are working with a spiritual director.
Our initial session is free and may last up to 45 minutes. I charge a sliding scale of between 60-100 per session. Although I find the most benefit is derived from monthly sessions, I am willing to work out a different schedule with you- just ask!
Payment is accepted via Paypal or Venmo on the day of the session- I will invoice you.
